Here’s how to get to the venue…
But let’s be real, you’ll just plug it into Google Maps anyways :D
Driving from Sydney
Blackheath is located about a 2 hour drive from the Sydney CBD.
The fastest route is to hop on the M4 Westbound, which continues as the Great Western Highway. Keep driving until you hit Blackheath (the Highway runs right through it, you can’t miss it!) and turn right onto Govetts Leap Road. The entrance to Parklands is located about a kilometre down the road on your left.
You can park in the section of the carpark labelled ‘Accommodation’.
Public transport from Sydney
Blackheath is serviced by Sydney Trains services running on the Blue Mountains line. The journey takes about 2 hours and 20 minutes from Central Station and you can use your Opal card.
Alight at Blackheath Station. From the station, Parklands is a straightforward 17 minute walk along Govetts Leap Road, but it does go up a bit of a hill.
There is a bus from Blackheath Station (the 698) that can drop you off much closer to Parklands, but it comes infrequently and it goes around the world a bit so make sure to check with the driver that it’s going in the right direction! You’ll want to get on at Blackheath Station and get off at the stop called Govetts Leap Road at Lakeview Ave.
Flying in to Sydney
If you’re flying in and renting a car, follow the driving directions above.
If you’re flying in and relying on public transport, good luck lol. Nah but seriously:
You can get the train from the Airport (the international terminal and both domestic terminals, we truly are living in the 21st century) to Central Station. Keep in mind though that the Airport stations charge a ridiculous surcharge ($16.68! What a rort) so if you’re flying domestically you might want to go for a walk to the nearby Mascot station (which doesn’t have the surcharge). Tap on/off using an Opal card or any credit/debit card.
Alternatively, get an Uber from the Airport to Central Station (don’t get a taxi, they’ll try and rip you off).
Once you’re at Central Station, follow the station signage to the Blue Mountains services and then follow the directions for public transport above.
